Neill Sullivan leads REO Homes of Oakland, California, as founder and president. The company invests in West Oakland neighborhoods by restoring neglected local residences, and employing local contractors. Under Neill Sullivan’s management, REO Homes gives back to the community through sponsorships that support nonprofit organizations such as Youth Diabetes and Sports Health Camps. Moreover, the company preserves community green space by planting trees on its renovated properties.
In preparation for his business career, Neill Sullivan enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in development economics and Spanish. As an undergraduate, he studied overseas in Spain and joined AIESEC, through which he participated in a cultural exchange program in Valencia, Venezuela.
When not working to grow his business and improve Oakland, Mr. Sullivan stays culturally engaged by watching films and reading literature. His favorite films include classics like Rear Window and newer contributions like Boyhood. In terms of literature, he appreciates such novels such as The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger and Beloved by Toni Morrison.
