A metallurgical engineer who has accumulated more than two decades of experience, Kiedock Kim has held a number of management positions in the mining industry. Between 2011 and 2012, he performed duties as a consultant and feasibility study manager for Bell Copper Corp in Tucson, Arizona. There, Kiedock Kim worked with engineering firms to create a Bankable Feasibility Study for the La Balsa copper property in Mexico.
Today, Kiedock Kim serves as mill manager for Veris Gold USA at Jerritt Canyon Mine in Elko, Nevada. In this role, he oversees safety and production for a gold mining operation that produces 5,000 tons of gold per day. Since joining the company in 2013, he has made significant improvements to overall operations; the mill achieved its best production to date in October 2013.
Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, and a master of science in mineral processing from the University of Alberta. An avid photographer in his free time, he provides volunteer photography services for events at his local church, for the local fair, and for friends’ weddings.
