As a judge of the Superior Court of California for the County of Santa Clara, Diane Ritchie presided over a range of civil and criminal cases. Judge Diane Richie settled over one-third of her trial cases and never had a judgment or conviction reversed on appeal.
Before she became a judge, Ms. Ritchie operated her own law office, located at 95 South Market, Suite 300 San Jose, CA 95113. She focused on mediation services and litigation. She worked on a number of high-profile California cases, including: Flores v. Morgan Hill, Case No. C-98 20358 JW, Unified School District, United States District Court, N.D. Cal.; Mynaf v. Taco Bell, Case No. CV761193, Santa Clara Superior Court; Haley v. Wendy’s, Case No. BC194235, Los Angeles Superior Court.
Diane Ritchie was a partner in Employment Rights Attorneys in San Jose. She was the supervising attorney with the Employment Law Unit of the Legal Aid Society of Santa Clara County. She also taught classes to undergraduate and graduate students at California State University, East Bay.
