An alumnus of the University of Illinois, Lakha Investments CEO Amin “Andy” Lakha earned a BA in accounting. After graduation, he spent time working in the music industry in Chicago. As the owner of the bar Biddy Mulligan’s, Armin “Andy” Lakha regularly booked and hosted concerts by blues, bluegrass, and rock bands. Notably, James Cotton recorded his live album at Biddy Mulligan’s, and, on another occasion, Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones stopped by to jam with Buddy Guy.
Between 1988 and 1992, Andy Lakha leveraged his experience running Biddy Mulligan’s to launch his own production company, LIP Productions. In this position, he dealt with promotion companies and mentored up-and-coming artists, directing tours and promoting concerts, mostly in the Chicago area.
In 1991, Mr. Lakha entered the real estate development industry, becoming the president Puget Sound Stations, Inc., based in Bellevue, Washington and focused on the construction of commercial spaces in Washington State as well as the operation of gas stations and convenience stores. In this role, he successfully built and managed 21 gas stations over a six-year period, establishing his firm as one of the biggest gas station dealers in the Northwest. He left Puget Sound Stations in 2003.
In his leadership role at Lakha Investments, he manages 10 million square feet of real estate. He is also president of Premier Center Management, a firm that manages and operates shopping centers and office buildings.
